Pistons 'haven't been' progressing on new deals for Duren and Thompson

After finishing first place in the Eastern Conference for the first time since the 2006-07 season, the Detroit Pistons could be in danger of losing part of their core. After center Jalen Duren was named to the All-NBA Third Team, it complicated Detroit's plans, as the former Memphis product is now eligible to sign an extension worth up to 30% of the Pistons' cap space.
Pistons president of basketball operations Trajan Langdon spoke to the media Thursday and didn't have any positive updates to report on a possible extension as Duren nears restricted free agency in July. Langdon said talks "haven't been" progressing.

He went on to say, "Those will be conversations that will be had, but to be completely honest, you will never know how those conversations go." These talks include Ausar Thompson, who will not be a free agent this summer but is eligible for an extension with one season remaining on his current deal.
